Militè parad „fidèl nan Polòy”, 15 out 2019.
The military parade „Faithful to Poland” ended. Over 2.5 thousand soldiers and 185 vehicles drove through the streets of Katowice. Over 60 aircraft soared into the sky. The president, prime minister and head of the Ministry of Defense were on the spot.
– Thanks to the attitude of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, the Bolshevik stormshe was detained – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak in Katowice.
The minister thanked the soldiers for their daily service. Mateusz Morawiecki spoke after him. – Thanks to that heroism, today we enjoy free Poland – he said. And he added that Poles are obliged to use peace time today. These are our great heroes, soldiers, but also junior high school students, students, peasants and workers from the Battle of Warsaw, who stopped the red plague who went to Warsaw, Berlin, Paris, then defended fate of Poland and the world – he reminded.
Our love of the rule of law and democracy influenced the fate of the world three times – he noted.
President Andrzej Duda in his speech emphasized that „the people of Upper Silesia stood a hundred years ago to fight for Poland and Polishness.” He noted that the Polish army is a „protective wall” for all citizens. „Thank you with all my heart,” he said.
