Le président Lech Kaczyński, son épouse Maria, ainsi que 94 autres personnes, dont des politiciens, des militants sociaux et l’équipage de l’avion, se trouvaient à bord du Tu-154M. – We already know a lot about what exactly happened at the Smolensk airport. We have no doubts that it was an attack, but we are in a slightly more difficult situation in the sense of the process, clearly more difficult, but I hope we will correct it and the end will probably be just like that

– said Jarosław Kaczyński in one of the interviews.

10 kwietnia 2010 r. o godz. 8.41 zamarło serce całej Polski. Na lotnisku Smoleńsk Siewiernyj rozbił się rządowy samolot, którym na wizytę do Katynia poleciał prezydent prof. Lech Kaczyński z małżonką oraz 94 osoby z oficjalnej delegacji państwowej. Polacy tego dnia zaczęli się jednoczyć, masowo oddawać hołd oraz modlić się za ofiary katastrofy. Przez kilka dni Polska była na ustach całego świata, a serce narodu zaczęło bić w Warszawie na Krakowskim Przedmieściu, gdzie gromadziły się tłumy. Ludzie po wiele godzin stali w kolejkach, aby oddać ostatni pokłon prezydentowi.

Od 12 lat w rocznicę spotykamy się na Krakowskim Przedmieściu, aby upamiętniać ofiary z 10 kwietnia 2010 r. Przed pandemią koronawirusa na uroczystościach centralnych pojawiało się nawet kilkadziesiąt tysięcy ludzi. W tym roku może być podobnie. 

Niedzielne uroczystości w stolicy rozpoczną się o godz. 8 od mszy w kościele Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny i św. Józefa Oblubieńca. Następnie o godz. 8.41 odbędzie się apel pamięci przed Pałacem Prezydenckim. W tym samym miejscu zaplanowane są „Anioł Pański” o godz. 12 oraz „Koronka do miłosierdzia Bożego” o godz. 15. Główne uroczystości odbędą się wieczorem. O godz. 19 w bazylice archikatedralnej w Warszawie pw. Męczeństwa św. Jana Chrzciciela koncelebrowana będzie msza święta w intencji ofiar katastrofy. Po mszy zaplanowany jest Marsz Pamięci z bazyliki archikatedralnej przed Pałac Prezydencki. O godz. 21 głos zabierze wicepremier Jarosław Kaczyński.

W tym roku przemowa może mieć charakter historyczny, a lider PiS zapowiadał w wywiadzie dla „Gazety Polskiej”, że poinformuje o konkretnych działaniach związanych z wyjaśnianiem katastrofy.

Nie mamy żadnej wątpliwości, że to był zamach, natomiast jesteśmy w sensie procesowym w trochę trudniejszej sytuacji, wyraźnie trudniejszej, ale mam nadzieję, będziemy je poprawiać i finał będzie pewnie właśnie taki

– mówił Jarosław Kaczyński w jednym z wywiadów. 

Już wiemy, że ostatecznie zaprezentowany zostanie raport z prac podkomisji, która zajmowała się wyjaśnianiem przyczyn tragedii.
